Description
Original Hella transmission control unit for VW Passat and Golf 3 applications. This is an OEM electronic gearbox control module with primary part number 096927731, designed for the Volkswagen models named above.
Its job is to manage automatic transmission operation by processing sensor inputs and commanding shift timing, gear engagement and related gearbox functions. A healthy control unit helps the transmission respond smoothly and maintain consistent communication within the drivetrain system.
Common signs of a faulty unit include harsh or delayed shifting, incorrect gear selection, limp-home operation, warning lights, stored transmission faults or loss of communication with the gearbox electronics. Intermittent shifting behavior can also point to a failing transmission control module.
This is a used original part, removed from a vehicle and tested before sale. Please match the exact OEM number 096927731 before ordering. Professional installation is recommended, and coding, programming or adaptation may be required depending on the vehicle and transmission setup.
