This Delphi-manufactured switch panel for the E63 and E64 provides the PDC parking distance control activation switch, allowing the driver to manually enable or disable the front or rear parking sensor system from the centre console.
Failure of the switch panel causes the PDC activation control to become unresponsive from this location, leaving the driver unable to manually toggle the parking sensor system from the console while the PDC control module and sensors themselves remain functional.
