6903880 BMW E38 E39 E46 Voice Input System Module – OEM Used & Tested

Description

This BMW voice input system module is a genuine OEM electronic component for BMW E38, E39 and E46 models. Primary OEM number 6903880. It is designed to handle the voice control function of the vehicle, receiving speech from the cabin microphone and turning it into commands that other systems can act on. It is built to the original BMW specification, so fit, connector layout and electronic behavior match the factory unit it replaces.

Its job is to analyze spoken input, recognize the stored command words and pass the matching request over the vehicle network to the telephone, navigation or other connected equipment. A properly working voice input system module supports hands-free operation, reliable command recognition and correct operation of the voice control system. Because the unit works together with the microphone and the connected modules, its hardware and software revision matter for correct communication.

Common signs of a faulty unit include voice commands that are not recognized, no response after pressing the voice button, a silent or distorted prompt, or related fault entries in connected modules. When the module is defective or has lost communication, the voice control system may stop working entirely, even though the telephone or navigation itself still works with manual controls. Intermittent faults are also possible, appearing only when the vehicle is warm or after bumps on the road.

This is a used original part, removed from a vehicle and tested before sale. Match the exact OEM number 6903880 before ordering. Professional installation is recommended, and coding or programming to the vehicle may be required where applicable. Checking the part number printed on the label of your original unit is the safest way to confirm compatibility.
