8359031 BMW E36 Wiper Washer Control Module WI-WA – OEM Used & Tested

Description

This BMW wiper washer control module is a genuine OEM electronic component for BMW E36 models. Primary OEM number 8359031. It is designed to control the intermittent wipe interval and the wash and wipe sequence of the windshield wipers, a function known as WI-WA (Wisch-Wasch). The module works together with the wiper stalk switch and the wiper motor.

Its job is to read the position of the wiper stalk switch, set the delay between wipes in intermittent mode and run the wiper motor for the correct number of strokes when the washer is used. It also helps to protect the wiper motor and the wiper arms from unnecessary load. A properly working wiper washer control module supports clear visibility, correct wiper timing in all weather conditions and reliable operation of the wash and wipe function.

Common signs of a faulty unit include wipers that do not run in intermittent mode, wipers that do not wipe after the washer is used, a wiper interval that cannot be adjusted, wipers that run constantly or stop at the wrong position, or a wiper system that works only intermittently. Problems often become noticeable first in light rain or when the washer is used. When the module fails, visibility in rain and snow may be reduced and the wiper function may become unreliable.

This is a used original part, removed from a vehicle and tested before sale. Match the exact OEM number 8359031 before ordering. Professional installation is recommended, and a check of the wiper motor, stalk switch and wiring is advised where applicable.
