This combined module provides two antenna functions in one unit: the GSM antenna feeds the in-car telephone system for hands-free calling and network connectivity, while the GPS antenna supplies the satellite navigation signal to the Phaeton navigation system for accurate positioning and routing.
Failure of this module can result in poor mobile signal inside the car affecting hands-free call quality, loss of GPS satellite lock causing navigation to stop tracking position, or fault codes in the telephone or navigation control units.
