Carrying OEM number 8381962 and Siemens/Hella code 5DK007047-26, this genuine BMW 5 Series E39 Body Comfort Control Module has been removed from a running vehicle, tested, and is supplied ready for installation.
The module is responsible for centralised locking of all four doors and the boot, one-touch electric window control including the comfort-close function via the remote key, interior and courtesy light sequencing on entry and exit, and boot lamp operation. Vehicles with the relevant options also use this module for scheduled heated seat activation and folding mirror control.
Watch for these failure indicators: the central locking system not responding to remote or switch commands, electric windows reverting to standard held-operation only, interior lights staying off when doors open, the comfort-close window feature ceasing to work, and the boot falling out of the locking sequence.
