The steering column adjustment lever is the mechanical or electromechanical release lever that unlocks the steering column so the driver can reposition it — adjusting the tilt (up/down) and reach (in/out) to achieve a comfortable driving position. Once the preferred position is found, operating the lever re-engages the column lock, holding it firmly in place during driving.
Column impossible to lock firmly — moves or vibrates during driving, column locked solid and unable to be repositioned, lever mechanism stiff, broken or not engaging the lock correctly, or excessive free movement in the column after attempting to lock.
This part is supplied in good used condition with no cracks, broken tabs or mechanical damage. Always verify the OEM part number against your vehicle’s existing unit before ordering.
