Description
The Engine Control Module (ECM) is responsible for all primary engine management functions on the Corsa B. It reads inputs from sensors monitoring crankshaft position, intake air temperature, coolant temperature, throttle opening, and exhaust oxygen content to make continuous adjustments to fuelling and ignition. ¶ This ECM controls fuel injection timing and duration, spark advance, closed-loop lambda feedback, idle air bypass, cold-start enrichment, and knock retard response. It also handles fuel pump relay switching, radiator cooling fan activation, and diagnostic code storage for service support. ¶ ECM faults on the Corsa B commonly appear as a no-start condition, engine cutting out at speed, fluctuating idle, hesitation on acceleration, excessive emissions, or repeated fault codes for sensors that test correctly when measured individually. ¶ This is a genuine used OEM unit carrying part number 16204689 GD, removed from a written-off donor vehicle and individually tested before sale. Professional installation is recommended, and coding or adaptation to your specific vehicle may be required.
