Descrizione
This Mercedes-Benz central gateway module is a genuine OEM electronic component for W211 E-Class and W219 CLS-Class vehicles. Primary OEM number 2115405645. It is designed to connect the separate CAN bus networks of the vehicle and to manage the data exchange between the different control units.
Its job is to receive, filter and forward messages between the drivetrain, chassis, comfort and multimedia networks so that every control unit gets the information it needs. It also supports diagnostic communication with a workshop tester. Without it, the separate networks cannot share data with each other. A properly working central gateway supports stable communication between the modules and correct operation of the vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
Common signs of a faulty unit include several warning lights appearing at the same time, control units that can no longer be reached by the diagnostic tool, a dead or flickering instrument cluster, comfort functions that stop working, communication fault codes, or a battery that drains while the car is parked. When the gateway fails, the network may lose communication and many systems can stop responding together. A professional diagnosis is advised to confirm the gateway is the cause.
This is a used original part, removed from a vehicle and tested before sale. Match the exact OEM number 2115405645 before ordering. Professional installation is recommended, and coding, SCN adaptation or software matching with a Mercedes compatible diagnostic tool may be needed where applicable.
