This BMW EWS 3 immobilizer control module is a genuine OEM anti-theft component for BMW E39 and E46 models. Primary OEM number 6905668. It is designed to read the transponder in the ignition key, compare the key code with the data stored in the module and release the engine control unit, so that the car can only be started with a correctly coded original key. It works together with the ignition lock and the engine management of the same car.
