OEM part number 6961141. This genuine used, tested BMW LCM IV Light Control Module fits the E38 7 Series (1994–2001), E39 5 Series (1995–2003), and X5 E53 (1999–2006). The LCM IV is the later generation, providing enhanced functionality and xenon headlight levelling capability over the LCM III. Units are sourced from running donor vehicles and tested before despatch.
The module manages dipped and main beam headlights, front fog lights, parking and side marker lights, interior lighting dimming, and instrument cluster illumination. On xenon-equipped vehicles it also governs automatic headlight levelling. All functions are co-ordinated via the K-CAN bus.
Typical faults include headlights failing to switch on or off correctly, main beam not activating, interior lights malfunctioning, instrument cluster dimming becoming unresponsive, and xenon levelling faults on appropriately equipped vehicles.
