The body comfort module integrates several key convenience functions: all-door and boot central locking, auto-down and auto-up window operation, remote key comfort-close (closing all windows by holding the lock button), interior and courtesy lighting on door events, and boot light control. Vehicles with heated seats and electric folding mirrors additionally route those functions through this module.
Failure symptoms commonly encountered include complete loss of remote central locking, individual windows reverting to manual held-press operation, interior lights not coming on when doors open, comfort-close windows stopping mid-sequence or not starting, and the boot lid no longer locking or unlocking with the rest of the car.
