This wiper control stalk switch for the A4 and S4 B6 and B7 in 8E and 8H variants provides the steering column-mounted controls for all wiper functions including intermittent, low speed, high speed and wash settings, interfacing with the wiper control module and body control system for correct front and rear wiper operation.
A faulty wiper stalk on the A4 or S4 B6 or B7 can cause the front wipers to respond intermittently to stalk input, fail to activate at a particular speed setting, or prevent the rear wiper from operating, and may store a fault code in the wiper or body control module.
