Fitted inside the HVAC housing, this electric motor adjusts the air distribution flap to direct climate-controlled airflow to the correct outlets — windscreen, face level, or footwell — based on the setting selected by the driver or automatic climate system.
Common failure signs include ventilation permanently stuck in one mode, a repetitive ticking or clicking noise when adjusting airflow direction, or loss of defrost function due to the flap not moving to the correct position.
