This Honda ECU controls fuel injection timing, ignition advance, idle air control, variable valve timing, and emissions management for the petrol powertrain. It reads live sensor data from the oxygen probes, crankshaft sensor, MAP sensor, and throttle position sensor to compute the optimal fuelling and ignition settings for every operating condition.
Common failure symptoms include a lit engine warning light, misfires at idle or under load, hard or no-start conditions, excessive fuel consumption, rough idle, hesitation, stalling, or loss of power. The vehicle may also fall into limp-home mode, limiting engine speed and torque until the defective ECU is replaced.
Supplied tested and in serviceable condition, carrying the original Honda OEM reference for a direct fit. Professional installation is strongly recommended.
