This Hella LED indicator is fitted into the left exterior wing mirror of the A8 and S8 D4, flashing in sequence with the left indicator circuit to provide a lateral directional signal from the mirror body, increasing left-side turn signal coverage for other road users.
Failure of this LED unit causes the left mirror turn signal to remain dark during left indicator operation, which may generate a bulb fault message on the instrument cluster and eliminates the lateral indicator function at the left mirror position.
