This shark fin antenna assembly is mounted on the roof of the E65, E66, and E67 and combines a telephone cellular antenna element with a GPS receiver, supplying the mobile telephone system and the satellite navigation unit with their respective signals from a single roof-mounted housing.
Failure or damage to this unit may result in poor mobile telephone signal inside the vehicle, loss of GPS satellite reception, or degraded navigation positioning accuracy, with the respective control units otherwise remaining operational.
