This Mercedes 100A glow plug relay is a genuine OEM electrical component for Mercedes diesel vehicles. Primary OEM number A0025426419, secondary code 0332002167. It is designed to switch the high current of up to 100 amps needed by the glow plugs of the diesel engine, so that the combustion chambers are preheated quickly and the engine starts reliably, even in cold weather.
Its job is to connect the battery supply to the glow plugs when the preheating is requested and to disconnect it again when the preheating time is over. A properly working glow plug relay supports fast and reliable cold starting, correct preheating time, lower emissions during warm-up and correct operation of the whole glow plug system of the diesel engine.
