Descrizione
This BMW cruise control module is a genuine OEM electronic component for BMW E38 and E39 models. Primary OEM number 8369062. It is designed to manage the cruise control function, often called Tempomat, by holding the vehicle at the speed selected by the driver without constant pressure on the accelerator pedal. The unit is part of the electronic equipment of the 5 Series and 7 Series and works together with the engine management system.
Its job is to read the cruise control switch inputs, the brake and clutch pedal signals and the road speed signal, then command the throttle actuator to maintain or adjust the set speed. It also cancels the function immediately when the brake is pressed or a fault is detected. A properly working cruise control module supports smooth speed holding, correct cut-out behavior and safe operation of the speed control system.
Common signs of a faulty unit include cruise control that will not engage, a set speed that is not held, sudden drop-outs while driving, a cruise control that does not respond to the steering wheel or stalk switches, or erratic speed changes on a steady road. Intermittent faults may appear only when the engine is warm or after rough road conditions. When the module fails, the speed control system may switch off completely or behave unpredictably until the unit is replaced.
This is a used original part, removed from a vehicle and tested before sale. Match the exact OEM number 8369062 before ordering. Professional installation is recommended, and a diagnostic check of the switches and actuator is advised where applicable.
