This BMW cruise control module is a genuine OEM electronic component for BMW E38 and E39 models. Primary OEM number 8369062. It is designed to manage the cruise control function, often called Tempomat, by holding the vehicle at the speed selected by the driver without constant pressure on the accelerator pedal. The unit is part of the electronic equipment of the 5 Series and 7 Series and works together with the engine management system.
Its job is to read the cruise control switch inputs, the brake and clutch pedal signals and the road speed signal, then command the throttle actuator to maintain or adjust the set speed.
