This Kostal EIS / EZS electronic ignition switch module for the W169 and W245 manages key recognition, start authorisation and ignition circuit switching in conjunction with the vehicle immobiliser and body control systems, enabling engine start and electrical system activation on the A-Class and B-Class.
A faulty EIS / EZS module on the W169 or W245 can prevent the engine from starting, cause the ignition to fail to power the electrical circuits, or produce a no-communication fault in the immobiliser or body control system.
