Positioned at the front right of the W220 S-Class, this Siemens 5WK4 833 antenna detects the Keyless-Go proximity key when it is within range of the front right door, transmitting the detection signal to the Keyless-Go control module to enable touchless door unlocking and engine start authorisation without physically operating the key.
Failure of this antenna results in the Keyless-Go system failing to detect the key at the front right door, requiring the driver to move the key closer to another antenna zone or revert to conventional key operation to unlock the vehicle.
