Il 4M51-12A650-NE è un modulo di gestione motore montato in fabbrica condiviso Ford Focus and C-Max — two models built on the same C1 platform during the mid-2000s, sharing a common range of powertrain options. This ECU manages the engine’s core functions including fuel injection, ignition, variable valve timing and idle control, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of the applicable engine variant throughout its service life.
This module works within the Focus and C-Max’s communication network alongside the ABS module and instrument cluster, sharing real-time engine data across the CAN bus. It monitors input from the mass airflow sensor, manifold pressure sensor, crankshaft position sensor and exhaust oxygen sensors, using this information to maintain precise fuelling and ignition events under all driving conditions.
