0281001878 Renault Clio 1.9 DTI Engine ECU Control Module – OEM Used & Tested

Description

Part number 0281001878 is the Bosch diesel engine management module fitted as original equipment to the renault/”>Renault Clio 1.9 DTI — a diesel-engined version of Renault’s iconic supermini. Removed from an operational vehicle and subjected to functional testing before listing, this unit delivers a dependable and affordable used alternative for Clio DTI owners facing ECU-related engine issues.

The Bosch EDC system within this ECU governs the fuel injection mapping, injection timing, idle speed stabilisation, and emissions management of the 1.9 DTI indirect-injection diesel. Continuous sensor inputs from the fuel delivery system, crankshaft position, coolant temperature, and air intake allow the module to optimise injection parameters across the full range of driving conditions, keeping the Clio’s 1.9 DTI engine responsive and fuel-efficient throughout its service life.

A failing ECU in the Clio 1.9 DTI commonly presents as an engine warning light, power loss or reduced throttle response, rough or hunting idle, difficulty starting particularly from cold, or unexpected stalling during light-load driving. Diagnostic scanning will typically retrieve internal ECU fault codes or injection system communication errors once sensors, glow plug operation, and wiring harness condition have been ruled out.

Confirm that OEM number 0281001878 matches the reference on your existing module before ordering. As with all VIN-matched diesel engine control units, professional reprogramming or immobiliser adaptation by a qualified specialist will be required before this module can be brought into service in the receiving vehicle.
