Description
This is a used original Opel Delco engine control unit for Opel models. Primary OEM number 16163479. Built as the main engine ECU, it is the central electronic controller for fuel delivery, ignition timing, sensor input processing, and core engine management functions.
In normal operation, the ECU receives data from key engine sensors and continuously adjusts injection and ignition strategy to keep the engine starting correctly, idling smoothly, and responding properly under load. It also supports emissions control logic and helps maintain stable overall engine performance.
Common signs of a faulty unit include no-start conditions, intermittent starting, misfiring, poor throttle response, rough running, warning lights, communication faults, or injector and ignition control errors. Electrical internal faults can also cause inconsistent engine behaviour that is difficult to trace to a single sensor.
