Description
The Engine Control Module (ECM) forms the command centre of the Corsa B’s powertrain electronics. It interprets sensor signals from the throttle body, intake air temperature probe, coolant temperature sensor, and oxygen sensor to maintain precise fuelling and spark timing under all operating conditions. ¶ This ECM controls injector dwell time and firing order, ignition advance curves, idle speed via the stepper motor, and exhaust lambda correction in closed-loop mode. It also manages the evaporative emissions canister purge solenoid and records fault codes accessible by standard OBD diagnostic tools. ¶ Failure of this ECM may manifest as stalling at idle or under load, refusal to start, black smoke from over-rich fuelling, loss of engine power, or intermittent running issues that cannot be attributed to any sensor or actuator individually. Multiple concurrent fault codes are a telltale sign. ¶ This is a genuine used OEM unit, part number 16171269 QG, sourced from a written-off vehicle and fully tested before dispatch.
