The Engine Control Module (ECM) coordinates all key engine management tasks on the Corsa, processing sensor data from the throttle position sensor, coolant temperature sensor, and exhaust lambda probe to deliver precise fuel injection and ignition timing at every operating point. ¶ This unit controls fuel injector pulse width, ignition dwell and advance angle, idle speed regulation, and closed-loop lambda correction. It also manages the cooling fan relay, activates the fuel pump via its dedicated relay, and records diagnostic fault codes to aid troubleshooting. ¶ A defective ECM can cause symptoms such as hard starting, rough idle, hesitation on acceleration, uneven power delivery, or a no-start condition. Stored codes referencing multiple unrelated sensors at once are a strong indication that the ECM, rather than the sensors themselves, is at fault. ¶ This is a genuine used OEM unit with part number 16187569 NA, removed from a written-off donor vehicle and fully tested before dispatch.
