Description
This is the original Audi rear electric auxiliary heater for the Audi A8 / S8 D3 (4E). It is the electric heater element built into the rear lower air duct, supplied under OEM number 4E0 819 013 with the control electronics 4E0 910 013 (GKR 9140010461).
The unit heats the air going to the rear footwell and rear cabin, giving faster warm-up – especially on diesel models, where it works as an additional heater (Zuheizer / Zusatzheizung) while the engine is still cold.
Common signs of a faulty unit: no warm air at the rear, slow cabin warm-up on cold starts, or a heater-related fault stored in the climate control system.
