This module combines active AM and FM radio signal amplification with an interference trap circuit and a 433.92 MHz receiver for the E53, allowing the vehicle to receive clear AM and FM radio, remain free of vehicle-generated electrical noise, and accept remote locking and EWS immobiliser signals from the key fob.
Failure can cause weakened AM or FM radio reception, increased static or interference on radio bands, reduced key-fob range for remote locking, or EWS key recognition issues in the X5 E53.
