Description
OEM part number 6905842, supplier reference 601-0731-013 (LEAR). This genuine used, tested BMW Body and Comfort Control Module is designed for the X5 E53 (1999–2006). Units are sourced from running donor vehicles and individually tested before despatch.
The Body Control Module governs central locking across all doors and the tailgate, one-touch electric window operation with remote comfort-close functionality, and manages interior courtesy lighting together with boot illumination. These comfort and convenience functions are co-ordinated via the vehicle body electronics network.
Typical faults include doors that no longer respond to the remote key fob, electric windows reverting to individual switch operation only, interior or courtesy lights failing to illuminate, and the remote comfort-close feature becoming inoperative.
Verify the OEM number against your specific vehicle before ordering. Professional installation is strongly recommended. BMW ISTA coding is required after fitting to register the module to the vehicle. A 14-day return window applies to all our used OEM parts.
Returns accepted only for genuine faults — faulty on arrival, not as described, or wrong part supplied — requested within 14 days, with all 3 anti-tamper stickers intact. No returns for change of mind, incorrect installation, coding/programming, or buyer compatibility errors; checking compatibility (OEM number, firmware, vehicle) is the buyer’s responsibility.
