OEM part number 6905875. This genuine used, tested BMW LCM III Light Control Module fits the E38 7 Series (1994–2001), E39 5 Series (1995–2003), and X5 E53 (1999–2006). Units are sourced from running donor vehicles and individually tested before despatch.
The LCM III manages dipped and main beam headlights, front fog lights, parking and side marker lights, interior lighting dimming, and instrument cluster illumination. It communicates with surrounding systems via the K-CAN bus, co-ordinating all exterior and interior lighting functions across the vehicle.
Common failure symptoms include headlights that fail to switch on or off correctly, main beam not activating, interior lights malfunctioning, instrument cluster dimming becoming unresponsive, and general exterior lighting irregularities.
