This LEAR switch module for the X5 E53 provides the combined headlight rotary switch and fog light activation controls alongside the integrated lighting electronics, managing the headlight, sidelight and fog light circuits from the dashboard and interfacing with the E53 body control system across all switch positions.
Failure of this module on the X5 E53 can cause the headlight switch or fog light activation controls to stop responding correctly, produce intermittent exterior or fog lighting faults, or generate fault codes in the E53 body control module related to the lighting switch circuit.
