Description
This BMW DWA alarm inclination tilt sensor is a genuine OEM security component for BMW E46 and E39 vehicles. Primary OEM number 6923209. It is designed to watch the position of the car while the alarm is armed and to send a signal to the DWA alarm system whenever the angle changes, so that lifting, tilting or towing attempts are recognized straight away. It works together with the other sensors and the control unit of the same alarm system.
Its job is to measure the inclination of the car body and tell the alarm control unit when the angle moves outside the stored limit, for example when the car is raised on a jack or winched onto a recovery truck. A properly working tilt sensor supports complete theft protection, correct arming behavior and correct operation of the factory DWA alarm without unwanted triggering.
Common signs of a faulty unit include the siren sounding without a cause, false alarms on a slope or in strong wind, no alarm reaction when the car is lifted, and a warning light or stored fault related to the DWA system. When the sensor fails, the alarm may go off at random or leave the vehicle without tilt monitoring, which can flatten the battery and weaken the overall security of the car. Replacing it restores quiet, dependable alarm operation.
This is a used original part, removed from a vehicle and tested before sale. Match the exact OEM number 6923209 before ordering. Professional installation is recommended, and a reset or adaptation of the alarm system may be required where applicable. Test the alarm after fitting to confirm that it arms and disarms normally.
