Description
Identified by OEM part number 6944842, this genuine used BMW E46 3 Series (1997–2006) Comfort Control Module (CCM) has been professionally removed from a running vehicle and tested to confirm correct function prior to listing.
Housed in a compact unit, the CCM co-ordinates all of the E46’s comfort electronics: central locking for all doors and the boot, one-touch electric window operation, comfort-close and comfort-open via the infrared remote key, interior courtesy lighting, boot lamp switching, and IR remote reception. On E46 variants with electric folding mirrors, these too are managed by the CCM.
A failing CCM on the E46 typically reveals itself through remote key locking that stops responding, electric windows that revert to non-latching hold operation, interior lights that switch unpredictably, comfort-close that fails to engage, and a remote control system that becomes erratic or completely inoperative.
Confirm fitment using OEM number 6944842 before purchase. Professional installation is recommended. ISTA/P or ISTA/D coding is required after fitting to register the unit with the vehicle’s systems. 14-day returns on unmodified parts.
Returns accepted only for genuine faults — faulty on arrival, not as described, or wrong part supplied — requested within 14 days, with all 3 anti-tamper stickers intact. No returns for change of mind, incorrect installation, coding/programming, or buyer compatibility errors; checking compatibility (OEM number, firmware, vehicle) is the buyer’s responsibility.
