Description
OEM part number 8373901. This genuine used BMW steering column adjustment lever fits the E38 7 Series, E39 5 Series and E53 X5 and is supplied genuine used, tested and ready to install.
The steering column adjustment lever releases and re-engages the column locking mechanism, allowing the driver to reposition the column in height (tilt) and reach (telescopic) for an ideal driving position. Once the position is set, the lever clamps the column securely.
Column unable to lock firmly after adjustment — moves or creeps during driving; column jammed solid and unable to be repositioned; lever broken or failing to engage the locking mechanism; excessive slack in the locked column.
Good used condition. Verify the OEM number against your vehicle’s build date and specification before ordering. Professional installation is recommended. 14-day returns on unmodified parts.
Returns accepted only for genuine faults — faulty on arrival, not as described, or wrong part supplied — requested within 14 days, with all 3 anti-tamper stickers intact. No returns for change of mind, incorrect installation, coding/programming, or buyer compatibility errors; checking compatibility (OEM number, firmware, vehicle) is the buyer’s responsibility.
