Description
OEM number 8376692 and Siemens/Hella reference 5DK007047-14 identify this genuine BMW Body Comfort Control Module, compatible with both the 7 Series E38 (1994–2001) and 5 Series E39 (1995–2003). Supplied used and tested, this unit represents excellent value for a quality OEM repair.
The module brings together central locking control for all doors and the boot, one-touch electric window operation and the remote key comfort-close function, interior and courtesy lighting sequencing on door events, and boot lamp switching. Electric folding mirrors and heated seat scheduling are further functions on appropriately equipped vehicles.
Faults consistent with a failed body comfort module on E38 and E39 models include the central locking system not reacting to the remote or to door switches, windows reverting to held-operation only, interior courtesy lights not activating on door opening, comfort-close windows ceasing to operate, and the boot lid losing its link to the locking cycle.
