Description
Carrying OEM part number 8385538, this genuine used BMW E46 3 Series (1997–2006) Comfort Control Module (CCM) has been professionally removed and tested to confirm correct function before despatch.
The E46 CCM is the central controller for the vehicle’s comfort and convenience electronics. It handles central locking across all doors and the boot, one-touch electric window operation, comfort-close and comfort-open via the infrared remote key, interior and courtesy lighting sequences, boot illumination, and remote key reception. Electric folding mirrors, on appropriately equipped cars, are also managed by the CCM.
When the CCM fails, common symptoms include doors that refuse to lock or unlock using the remote, electric windows that revert to manual hold mode and lose one-touch function, erratic interior lighting, comfort-close that no longer activates, and remote key commands that become unreliable or cease to work.
Check OEM number 8385538 against your vehicle before ordering. Professional fitting is recommended. ISTA/P or ISTA/D coding is required to register the unit with the vehicle after installation. 14-day returns accepted on unmodified parts.
Returns accepted only for genuine faults — faulty on arrival, not as described, or wrong part supplied — requested within 14 days, with all 3 anti-tamper stickers intact. No returns for change of mind, incorrect installation, coding/programming, or buyer compatibility errors; checking compatibility (OEM number, firmware, vehicle) is the buyer’s responsibility.
