Description
BMW E38 OEM air distribution flap actuator, part number 8391378, removed from a genuine BMW E38 and tested to confirm correct operation. This used OEM component is offered as a direct replacement for E38 applications.
The actuator controls the distribution flap within the E38 HVAC assembly, directing conditioned air between the face-level vents, the footwell outlets, and the windscreen defroster channel as selected on the climate control panel.
When this component fails on the E38, airflow direction typically becomes fixed and unresponsive to setting changes, clicking or grinding sounds develop from within the heater box, and climate control self-diagnosis may flag a motor fault.
Good used condition. Confirm OEM number 8391378 is correct for your E38 before ordering. Installation by a qualified technician is recommended, and coding may be required. 14-day returns accepted.
Returns accepted only for genuine faults — faulty on arrival, not as described, or wrong part supplied — requested within 14 days, with all 3 anti-tamper stickers intact. No returns for change of mind, incorrect installation, coding/programming, or buyer compatibility errors; checking compatibility (OEM number, firmware, vehicle) is the buyer’s responsibility.
