Mounted in the left exterior wing mirror of the A4, S4 and RS4 B9 and the A5, S5 and RS5 F5, this LED indicator activates with the left indicator circuit to project a lateral turn signal from the mirror body, improving directional visibility to other road users on the left side of the vehicle during turns and lane changes.
A non-functional unit causes the left mirror signal to remain dark during left indicator operation, potentially illuminating a bulb failure warning on the instrument cluster and leaving the lateral indicator position at the left mirror unlit.
