Description
OEM reference A0205451832, Bosch supplier number 05045120. Genuine used Mercedes-Benz W220 SAM Control Module — tested and in good working order.
Acting as the central power distribution and body control unit, the SAM (Signal Acquisition and Actuation Module) is fundamental to the operation of these Mercedes-Benz models. It houses the main fuse matrix and relay array for the vehicle body circuits, managing power distribution and signal routing for exterior lighting (headlights, taillights, fog lights), windscreen wipers and washers, horn, electric windows, and numerous other body and chassis functions. Front and rear SAM variants exist — confirm which is required. The module communicates with the instrument cluster, engine management and comfort systems over the vehicle CAN bus.
Dashboard warning messages appearing in groups — often the first sign of SAM failure; exterior lighting (headlights, taillights, fog lights) becoming intermittent or non-operational; fuses blowing and immediately re-blowing upon replacement; loss of Star Diagnosis communication with the SAM unit over the CAN bus; or fault codes logged under the SAM address in the body electronics control unit.
Good used condition. Always cross-reference BOTH OEM numbers (vehicle OEM and Bosch/supplier number) with your specific vehicle and build date before ordering — SAM variants differ between model years, body configurations and optional extras. Professional installation is required. The replacement SAM must be configured and coded to the vehicle using Mercedes-Benz Star Diagnosis (XENTRY or SIM/DAS). Returns are accepted within 14 days on unmodified, uninstalled parts.
Returns accepted only for genuine faults — faulty on arrival, not as described, or wrong part supplied — requested within 14 days, with all 3 anti-tamper stickers intact. No returns for change of mind, incorrect installation, coding/programming, or buyer compatibility errors; checking compatibility (OEM number, firmware, vehicle) is the buyer’s responsibility.
