A0285458132 Mercedes-Benz W220 SAM Control Module 05045132 – OEM Used & Tested

Description

OEM reference A0285458132, Bosch supplier number 05045132. Genuine used Mercedes-Benz W220 SAM Control Module — tested and ready to install.

The SAM (Signal Acquisition and Actuation Module) is the central power distribution and body control unit for the Mercedes-Benz W220 S-Class. It houses the main fuse matrix and relay array for the vehicle body circuits, managing power distribution and signal routing for exterior lighting (headlights, taillights, fog lights), windscreen wipers and washers, horn, electric windows, and numerous other body and chassis functions. Front and rear SAM variants exist — confirm which is required. The module communicates with the instrument cluster, engine management and comfort systems over the vehicle CAN bus.

Multiple electrical functions failing at the same time — wipers, exterior lighting or electric windows going unresponsive; fuses that blow and re-blow without an obvious cause; fault codes logged under the SAM address in the body electronics when scanned with Star Diagnosis; loss of diagnostic communication with the SAM over the CAN bus; or a cluster of unrelated dashboard warning messages appearing without a single identifiable root cause.

Good used condition. Always cross-reference BOTH OEM numbers (vehicle OEM and Bosch/supplier number) with your specific vehicle and build date before ordering — SAM variants differ between model years, body configurations and optional extras. Professional installation is required. The replacement SAM must be configured and coded to the vehicle using Mercedes-Benz Star Diagnosis (XENTRY or SIM/DAS). 14-day returns accepted on unmodified parts.
