Description
The Transmission Control Unit (TCU) is the central controller for the automatic gearbox fitted to the W210 E-Class. It monitors throttle position, road speed, engine RPM, and transmission fluid temperature to select and execute gear shifts with minimum shock and maximum fuel efficiency. ¶ This TCU controls gear selection logic, hydraulic solenoid valve sequencing, torque converter lock-up engagement, adaptive shift mapping, kickdown response, traction control integration to prevent wheelspin during power application, shift shock reduction, and management of economy, sport, and winter driving programmes. ¶ TCU failure on the W210 can cause the transmission to default to limp-home mode, produce harsh or unpredictable gear changes, fail to respond to kickdown, display a transmission fault warning, hesitate or lurch when engaging drive or reverse, or refuse to change to the correct gear during normal driving. ¶ This is a genuine used OEM unit with reference A0305454932, sourced from a written-off donor vehicle and fully tested before dispatch.
