Symptoms of a failing exterior mirror adjustment motor (A1698200521)
It moves the mirror glass from the door switch. When it fails, the glass no longer moves in one or more directions, or there is a humming or clicking from the mirror. Fitting a matching original unit restores correct operation without changing the wiring.
