This mirror adjustment motor drives the position mechanism of the exterior wing mirrors across the W169, W204, W207, W211, W212 and X204, responding to mirror switch commands by moving the mirror glass through the internal adjustment unit to the driver’s required horizontal and vertical position.
A failed motor causes the exterior mirror to stop responding to electrical adjustment commands, locking the mirror glass in place and requiring manual correction until the motor is replaced.
