Description
OEM part numbers 1422772 and 0260002386 identify a genuine used and tested automatic transmission ECU module from BMW, designed for the E36 model series.
The TCM handles gear selection, torque converter lockup, and the adaptive shift mapping that develops with the driver’s individual driving style. It coordinates Sport, Economy, and Winter shift programmes, manages kickdown logic for full-throttle performance, and activates limp-home protection automatically when a fault is detected. The module works in continuous communication with the engine ECU to ensure smooth and efficient power delivery.
Failing TCM symptoms include harsh or unpredictable gear shifts, the gearbox locking into a single limp-home ratio (typically 3rd gear), delayed or refused engagement of Drive or Reverse, absence of kickdown response under hard acceleration, and fault codes stored under the transmission control module address.
This unit is in good used condition with OEM part numbers 1422772 and 0260002386 verified. Professional installation is recommended, and adaptation or coding using BMW-compatible diagnostic equipment may be required following fitting. A 14-day return period applies.
Returns accepted only for genuine faults — faulty on arrival, not as described, or wrong part supplied — requested within 14 days, with all 3 anti-tamper stickers intact. No returns for change of mind, incorrect installation, coding/programming, or buyer compatibility errors; checking compatibility (OEM number, firmware, vehicle) is the buyer’s responsibility.
