This Fuba suppression filter is placed in the antenna feed line of the E39 and E53 to block electrical interference and noise originating from the vehicle’s own electronics, ensuring a clean AM and FM signal is delivered to the head unit under all operating conditions.
A failing filter causes an increase in radio static, alternator whine, or ignition interference on AM and FM bands, with the level of noise commonly varying with engine speed or the operation of electrical accessories.
