This EIS / EZS electronic ignition switch module for the W203 and S203 manages electronic key recognition, ignition circuit switching and engine start authorisation through the vehicle immobiliser and body control systems, enabling correct engine start and electrical system operation across the C-Class saloon and estate.
Failure of this EIS / EZS module on the W203 or S203 produces a no-start condition, prevents ignition circuit activation, or generates EIS communication faults in the diagnostic system that persist until the module is replaced and synchronised to the vehicle.
