Description
This Honda lock immobilizer receiver module is a genuine OEM electronic component for Honda vehicles equipped with a transponder key immobilizer. Primary OEM number HLI 502. It operates at 125kHz and is designed to read the coded signal from the transponder in the ignition key and pass that data to the immobilizer control system for verification.
Its job is to act as the antenna and receiver at the ignition lock, powering the key transponder, reading its identification code and reporting it to the immobilizer logic so the engine is allowed to start only with a valid key. A properly working receiver module supports reliable key recognition, normal engine starting and the factory anti-theft protection of the vehicle, without delays or repeated key attempts.
Common signs of a faulty unit include an engine that cranks but does not start, an immobilizer or key warning light on the instrument cluster, keys that are not recognized even though they are valid, or intermittent starting problems that come and go. When the receiver fails, the immobilizer may keep blocking the fuel or ignition system, and the vehicle may not start at all, even with a fully charged battery.
This is a used original part, removed from a vehicle and tested before sale. Match the exact OEM number HLI 502 before ordering, and check that the connector type matches your original unit. Professional installation is recommended, and key matching or immobilizer programming may be required after fitting where applicable.
Returns accepted only for genuine faults — faulty on arrival, not as described, or wrong part supplied — requested within 14 days, with all 3 anti-tamper stickers intact. No returns for change of mind, incorrect installation, coding/programming, or buyer compatibility errors; checking compatibility (OEM number, firmware, vehicle) is the buyer’s responsibility.
