The suspension control module manages the Phaeton’s pneumatic air suspension system. It reads ride height sensor data at each corner, vehicle speed and driver-selected suspension settings to command the air compressor, individual corner air spring valves and adaptive damper actuators. The module continuously adjusts air pressure at each spring to maintain the target vehicle ride height and adapts damping to road conditions and load changes.
Suspension warning on the instrument cluster, vehicle sitting noticeably lower than normal — particularly at one corner — the air compressor running continuously without achieving correct height, ride height unable to be adjusted with the mode selector, or fault codes in the suspension control module.
