Описание
This BMW rear seat heating module is a genuine OEM electronic component for the BMW 7 Series E65 and E66. Primary OEM number 6918567. It is designed to control the electric heating elements of the rear seats, reading the commands from the operating switches and the temperature signals of the seats and exchanging data with the vehicle network. It is the control unit installed for the comfort equipment of the rear compartment of these luxury sedans.
Its job is to switch the heating of the rear seat cushions and backrests on and off, to select the requested heating level and to protect the heating mats against overheating. A properly working rear seat heating module supports even and comfortable seat warmth, correct heating levels, safe temperature limits and correct operation of the whole seat heating system of the car in cold weather.
Common signs of a faulty unit include seats that do not heat, heat only on one side or one level, heating that switches off by itself, indicator lights that stay off or flash, and seat heating fault entries. When the module fails, the rear seat heating may stop working completely, the heating levels may not respond to the switches and the comfort of the rear passengers may be reduced. Often the only visible sign is a seat that stays cold.
This is a used original part, removed from a vehicle and tested before sale. Match the exact OEM number 6918567 before ordering. Professional installation is recommended, and coding or adaptation to the vehicle may be required where applicable.
